Jeanette Walls does NOT have an attractive childhood!

Where should I begin? Jeanette Walls' novel Glass Castle documents her life from early childhood and so on. I have only read to page 56 but I have already been appauled by the some of the experiences that have been described through these first few chapters. Her family life if twisted beyond imagination. Although I slightly admire how she looks up to her father, I also am quite repulsed due to the overall actions of the father. It is quite evident to see that the apparent admiration of the father in unhealthy because she gives such love and care for a man that will clearly does not demonstrate the traits that are worthy of such love.
