“I'm never drinking again." I said to myself. I could hear the doctor approaching.
“It’s only a mild headache.” I smile at the doctor as she eases my mood.
“Could you contact my brother? He should be able to get me."The doctor gives me a puzzled look.
“He didn’t survive the crash.”

ReplyDeleteWow, such a great twist at the end of your short story. Completely unexpected. Just upon reading "I'm never drinking again", I assumed this would be a humourous piece(your signature!) but I loved the abrupt, hard-hitting turn that you saved for the very end. However, the GIF image included doesn't seem fitting for the story itself, it does accurately represent the impact of your short story, especially the ending - it hits you from out of nowhere.
